Welcome
Welcome to my page, since you have found yourself here, my guess is that you may be considering psychotherapy for yourself or someone you care about. Please take a moment to explore and see if some of your questions can be answered. Congratulations on taking the first steps towards achieving whatever goal(s) you may be hoping for through therapy, whether that be having a deeper understanding of yourself, the symptoms you experience, wanting to learn various coping strategies, or bettering your relationships - being willing to look is the first step.
I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, trusting, and comfortable space for clients to explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. I believe that our past experiences and relationships shape how we view and engage with the world today, and help clients achieve insights about the origins of their symptoms. In order to achieve that goal of experiencing a deeper understanding of our sense of self, I provide clients with concrete coping strategies to help ease various emotional difficulties in the present moment that might be clouding the way we view ourselves, our relationships, current difficulties in life, and the future. I hope to help you navigate both the difficult and joyous times in the journey of life!
My Approach
My approach is collaborative, where we continually set goals, provide feedback, and challenge each other in a supportive space. I consider myself a generalist and am experienced in treating individuals, couples, and families that present with a variety of concerns (see services). I am integrative and draw from various Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches, relational psychodynamic, and interpersonal process all within a multicultural framework. I provide teletherapy (online therapy) through a HIPAA compliant platform as well for convenience and so we can meet from the comfort of your own space.
